Bookshelf with Patterned Plywood

Client Type: Private

Date: Fall 2020

Task: The client wanted a custom bookshelf to fit a specific wall section. They also requested two covered compartments for hidden storage. The shelf would display a mix of books, a plant, and small decorative items.

Solution: This was my first official commissioned project, and the client allowed me a lot of creative freedom. I chose to play with angled lines, transforming a simple rectangular design into something more dynamic and visually interesting. It was also my first time working with patterned plywood, which added a unique texture to the storage boxes. The finished piece carries a mid-century modern feel, defined by its clean angles and subtle visual patterns
