Shaper Origin Handheld CNC Router

Purpose: I got this tool to replace a full-size CNC due to space constraints.

Advantages: It has a small footprint, is user-friendly, and allows CNC work on wood ends.

Drawbacks: It can be time-consuming as it requires hands-on attention throughout.

This tool is ideal for crafting one-of-a-kind pieces. I've used it extensively for adding intricate details, and it's much quicker than setting up a full CNC. It's handy for creating precise dowel holes on both sides. The best part is that I can easily pack it away, preserving my limited workshop space.

However, I wouldn't recommend it for mass production of more than two identical items due to the time involved.

I've introduced this tool to new woodworkers in my classes, and it serves as an excellent learning tool.
